Cal Tan, Inc. Announces New CEO

California Tan, Inc. announces the appointment of Duncan Robins to the position of Chief Executive Officer. A seasoned leader of consumer-oriented product businesses, Robins will move into the position recently vacated by Max Recone. Robins also will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer of California Tan Holding Corp., the parent company of both California Tan, Inc. and New Tan, Inc.

Recone will become Vice Chairman and remain on the Board of Directors where he will focus on corporate strategy after five years of leading the tanning products company.
 
“I have enjoyed leading this team and congratulate them on our many successes over the past five years,” he said. “I am personally ready for a change in responsibility and know that I’m leaving the daily management of Cal Tan in good hands. We all look forward to further innovations and growth of the company under Duncan’s leadership.”

Robins is a proven brand builder, having successfully managed a number of consumer products companies and new product growth initiatives. He has consulted to many organizations while employed by Bain, McKinsey, and Morgan Stanley. Robins graduated summa cum laude from Harvard and earned an MBA from Stanford.
