Salon Support Spearheads Clothing Drive To Help Hurricane Victims
Posted on: 10/03/2005

Salon Support and dozens of local North Texas salons joined forces to donate truckloads of clothing for victims of hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

According to Salon Support company owner Tony Ford, the indoor tanning industry has been hit hard in the Gulf region where nearly 300 salons are located in the flooded areas of Louisiana.

“The devastating scenes of hurricanes Katrina and Rita moved us to work with our local North Texas salons and contribute more than 10 truckloads of new and gently used clothing, new diapers and new underwear. The response to serve those in need has been impressive,” he says. “These donations will help many of those so greatly affected by these storms, and we are thankful for the opportunity to assist.”
